September 12th- Road Trip to Catalina

Yesterday Ella and I began our first Mother/Daughter road trip. Driving 400 miles doesn't lead to taking to many pictures. But luckily today is full of adventure with great pictures.

We started the day in our hotel room. We showered and had some breakfast before we went to meet the boat to take us to Catalina Island.

This trip required lots of gear for almost camping. How do you handle that with one adult?? You use the stroller as your luggage carrier.

Waiting for the boat to take us to the island. So much to look at that she wouldn't even look at the camera.

 I love boat rides!!!!

The shore boat ride from Two Harbors to Cherry Cove. It is so much easier to carry a life jacket than a car seat. It is so funny what it does to her cheeks too.

When we got to the float at Cherry there was a large male sea lion who thought the float was his for sunbathing. Luckily he moved on for us to get off, but came right back to his basking spot.

It was HOT on the island and so we went for a pre-dinner swim. Ella's first time with more than toes in the Pacific.  She loved it.
