After our morning outing to get fireworks we went for a swim in the baby pool. The lake was really rough. Post swimming pool there was some sailing and playing on the beach (Ella slept though this part of the 4th.) After a great dinner of Smith's Hot Dogs, german potato salad and watermelon it was time for outdoor dessert. We made a nice little fire so we could have smores and banana boats. It was pretty windy so there is a windbreak. For the first time in my life I had to build a dam for my campfire. The lake waves got bigger and bigger so we build a protective wall, a moat and drainage ditch. The dessert was great. Ella hung out with Nana while Mommy and Daddy played with fire. It was a great 4th of July.
