Today was Ella's last day in her cast. We spent the morning playing at the house having some great fun. Ella's first birthday presents arrived and I thought it would be fun to spread them out. We opened a fantastic sea puzzle from Great Linda and YaYa Vicki. PopPop was a great helper.
After a busy morning of playing Ella took her last nap with her cast on.
Once we got home she took off. She will stand on it and walk but still crawls with it out to the side. The doctor says it is stiff and maybe even a little sore. She didn't seem to mind much at all, but was taking it a little easy.
Celebration sushi dinner. I let her get as messy as she could because she could take a bath!!

When she woke up Pop Pop, Mom Mom, Mommy and Ella went out to lunch in Palo Alto. Ella was introduced to Nutella and was a big fan. No pictures because I having to feed it to her fast. After lunch off to Lucile Packard we went for official cast removal. First some x-rays with the cast on, and some serious flirting with all the people young and old in the lobby. Ella loves the vacuum cleaner so since the saw was a giant vacuum with a saw attached she didn't mind it so much. She started complaining the last third but I think that was because she was tired of sitting still.
Home we went to test out this new found freedom. She decided two shoes was not cool yet. But left the new shoe on.
Matt and I both gave her a bath and we filled it nice and deep. She had so much fun and was so happy. She also fell asleep super fast. We all love the bath.
